Plambeck Family Reunion
History

History - 1980 - 1982 - 1984 - 1986 - 1990

August 3 - 5, 1990

57 Plembeck descendants attended the 1990 Plembeck Family Reunion at Camp Bentley, a Baptist Bible Camp near Drake, North Dakota. There were some family members no longer there, and some new babies. Henry Jorgensen had passed away in February. During the service, Rose Torgerson read an eulogy for Henry written by his daughters Joyce, and Esther also read a memorial for him. The youngest family member was Jalene Dennant from Cutbank, who was about a month old. The oldest was Caroline Nielsen at 86 from Plentywood, Montana.

The camp was a great location. It had cabins, a big kitchen, and lots of recreation. The biggest hit was the lake. People tried to ride the paddle boats and the canoes. There were also the usual horseshoe challenges. The only pet there was a pot-bellied pig, who was owned by Bruce and Kay. He entertained the old and the young. Saturday night, everyone gathered around the campfire for singing, roasting marshmellows, and comraderie.

Sunday morning, after a breakfast of pancakes, after the service and the family picture, everyone said their goodbyes, and headed for home, refreshed by the three days at the camp, only with those with a common heritage. The hosts for the reunion were Connie and Boyd ANderson, Cathy and Eldie Albertson, and John, Leonard, and Kermit Jorgensen.
